  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Narragansett Town Beach, head west on Ocean Road. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with 1A North (Boston Neck Road). Turn left onto 1A North and continue for about 0.5 miles. Look for Crest Avenue on your right; turn onto Crest Avenue and walk straight until you reach 43 Crest Ave, which is the entrance to John H. Chafee National Wildlife Refuge.

    From Narragansett Town Beach, you can cycle west along Ocean Road. Once you reach the intersection with 1A North (Boston Neck Road), turn left. Continue biking for approximately 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Crest Avenue and bike straight to the entrance at 43 Crest Ave. The refuge will be on your left.

  • Public Transit

    Take the RIPTA bus #14 from Narragansett to the nearest stop on Boston Neck Road. Once you get off, walk north along Boston Neck Road for about 0.5 miles. Look for Crest Avenue on your right and turn onto it. Continue walking straight until you reach the entrance at 43 Crest Ave.
