From there, take the RIPTA bus #1 (Broad St. to Olneyville) or #42 (Elmwood Ave. to Roger Williams Park) directly to the zoo. The ride takes about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Make sure to get off at the stop for Roger Williams Park Zoo, which is located at 1000 Elmwood Ave. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the zoo entrance.

    Walking

    If you're near the Providence Place Mall, you can walk to Roger Williams Park Zoo. Start by heading south on the Promenade Street towards the intersection with Park Street. Turn right onto Park Street and continue until you reach Elmwood Avenue. From there, turn left onto Elmwood Avenue and walk straight for about 1.5 miles. The zoo will be on your left side at 1000 Elmwood Ave. It’s a pleasant stroll through the park area.

    Biking

    For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike share stations around Providence. Head towards the Riverwalk and follow it until you reach the intersection with Elmwood Avenue. Continue on Elmwood Avenue cycling south for about 1.5 miles.
