From Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, head north on South Shore Road toward Route 1. Turn left onto Route 1 and continue for approximately 5 miles. Merge onto Route 138 East toward Newport. Follow Route 138 for about 10 miles until you reach the Point Judith area. From there, follow signs for the Block Island Ferry. The ferry terminal is located at 1 Block Island Ferry, Narragansett, RI 02882. Expect to pay around $20-$25 for a round trip ferry ticket, which takes about 30 minutes.

From Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, you can take the RIPTA bus service. Walk to the nearest bus stop along Route 1 and catch the #14 bus heading towards Narragansett. Disembark at the Point Judith Ferry terminal stop. This bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes and costs around $2. After arriving at the ferry terminal, purchase a ticket for the Block Island Ferry which is approximately $20-$25 for a round trip. The ferry ride to Block Island takes about 30 minutes.
