From Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, exit the refuge and head northwest on Trustom Pond Road. Continue onto South Shore Road (RI-1A) for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Victory Highway (US-4). Turn left onto Victory Highway and proceed for about 7 miles. You will see the Audubon Maxwell Mays Wildlife Refuge on your right at 2082 Victory Hwy, Coventry, RI 02816.

To reach Audubon Maxwell Mays Wildlife Refuge from Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge using public transportation, first walk to the nearest bus stop on South Shore Road (approximately 1.5 miles from the refuge). Take the RIPTA Bus Route 66 towards East Greenwich. After about 30 minutes, get off at the bus stop on Victory Highway near the intersection of RI-117. From there, it is approximately a 1-mile walk to the refuge. Follow the road signs until you reach 2082 Victory Hwy, Coventry, RI 02816.
