    From any point in Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, exit the refuge and head north on Succotash Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route 1 (Post Road). Turn left onto Route 1 North and follow it for about 2.5 miles. Take the exit for Boston Neck Road (Route 1A) and continue for approximately 2 miles. The John H. Chafee Rome Point Preserve will be on your left at 1344 Boston Neck Rd, North Kingstown, RI 02852. Look for the preserve sign marking the entrance.

    If you are using public transportation, you will first need to get to a bus stop servicing the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) routes. Check the RIPTA website for the nearest stop to Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge. Take the bus route heading towards North Kingstown.
