Car
From Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, exit the reserve and head northwest on South Shore Road (RI-1A) for about 2.5 miles. Turn left onto Route 1 North and continue for approximately 4.5 miles. Take exit 8B toward Charlestown and merge onto Route 2. Continue on Route 2 for about 1.5 miles, then turn left onto Sanctuary Road. Kimball Wildlife Refuge will be on your left at 180 Sanctuary Rd, Charlestown, RI 02813.

From Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge, you can take a local bus (check the schedule for the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority) from the nearest bus stop on South Shore Road. You will need to transfer at the nearest major bus terminal to a southbound bus heading towards Charlestown. The journey may take around 45 minutes to an hour depending on transfers and waiting times. Once in Charlestown, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach Kimball Wildlife Refuge at 180 Sanctuary Rd.
