The bus will take you through scenic areas and drop you off at one of the stops in Newport. Once you arrive in Newport, get off at the stop nearest to Broadway, and then walk towards 17 Broadway. The Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House is located on the left side of the street. The total trip should take about 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic and waiting times.
Train and Bus
Head to the nearest train station, which is the Warwick Station. Take the train towards Providence and transfer to the MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority) service that connects to Newport. Once you reach Newport, switch to the RIPTA bus route 66 and follow the same instructions as above. This option may take around an hour and a half but offers a more comfortable ride.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Warwick. From there, head south on Warwick Avenue towards the waterfront and follow the bike paths leading to Newport. The ride is about 8 miles long and will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Once you reach Newport, follow the street signs to Broadway. The Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House will be on your left at 17 Broadway.
Walking
For the most enthusiastic walkers, you can embark on a long walk from Warwick to Newport. Start by walking towards the nearest road leading to the waterfront and follow the path along the shore. This route is about 8 miles and will take approximately 2-3 hours. Once you reach Newport, make your way to Broadway and look for 17 Broadway, where the Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House is located.
