If you're driving from the center of Washington County, head east on Route 1 (also known as the Kingstown Road) towards Newport. Take Exit 3 for Route 138 East towards Newport. Continue on Route 138 until you reach the intersection with Ocean Drive. Turn right onto Ocean Drive, and follow the road for about 2 miles. Brenton Point State Park will be on your left. Look for the park entrance sign. Parking is available on-site, which is free of charge.

For public transportation, start by taking the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus route 60 from any main bus stop in Washington County towards Newport. Make sure to check the schedule on the RIPTA website for the latest times. You will need to get off at the 'Newport - Ocean Drive' stop. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Brenton Point State Park. Head south on Ocean Drive, and you will see the park entrance on your right.
