    From Westerly, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Street and take the R.I. Public Transit bus route 1 towards South Kingstown. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes until you reach the stop at Matunuck School House Road. Once you disembark, walk north on Matunuck School House Road for about 0.5 miles. Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge will be on your left.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Westerly and head south on Route 1. Continue for approximately 4 miles until you reach Matunuck School House Road. Turn left onto Matunuck School House Road and ride for another 0.5 miles. The entrance to Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge will be on your left. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow cycling safety guidelines.

    For a scenic walking route, start from downtown Westerly and head south on Main Street. Continue straight as Main Street becomes Route 1. After about 4 miles, turn left onto Matunuck School House Road. Walk for another 0.5 miles, and the entrance to Trustom Pond National Wildlife Refuge will be on your left. The walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
