    From Yawgoo Valley Ski Area, start by heading northwest on Yawgoo Valley Road toward Route 138. Turn left onto Route 138 East and continue for about 7 miles. Merge onto Route 1 South and follow this road for approximately 5 miles, then take the exit for Route 138 East toward Newport. Continue on Route 138, following the signs for Newport. Once in Newport, take the exit for Route 238 South. This will lead you onto Long Wharf. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Jackson Road. Turn left onto Jackson Road. Fort Adams Bay Walk will be located at 48 Jackson Rd, Newport, RI 02840. There is parking available nearby at Fort Adams State Park.

Check the RIPTA website for the latest schedule for Route 14 (Wakefield to Newport). After arriving in Newport, transfer to Route 60 (Newport to Fort Adams) which will take you closer to Fort Adams. Get off at the stop nearest to Jackson Road and walk the remaining distance to Fort Adams Bay Walk at 48 Jackson Rd, Newport, RI 02840. Please be aware that bus fares may apply, so have cash or a bus pass ready.
