Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the city of Brașov. Head towards the town of Bușteni, which is approximately 30 km from Brașov. Once in Bușteni, follow the signs towards the Telecabina (cable car station) which is located at the base of the Caraiman Peak. The cable car will take you to the upper station near the peak. The cost for a round-trip ticket is approximately 70 RON per adult. From the upper station, it's a short hike to Heroes' Cross, which is about a 30-minute walk. The trail is well-marked, so just follow the signs towards the cross.

Public Transportation
To reach Heroes' Cross using public transportation, take a train from Bucharest to Bușteni. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. From the Bușteni train station, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes) or take a taxi to the Telecabina (cable car station). Once at the cable car station, purchase a round-trip ticket for around 70 RON and ascend to the upper station. After exiting the cable car, follow the marked trail for about 30 minutes to reach Heroes' Cross.
