The final distance is about 1.5 km on a gravel road leading directly to Popii Rarăului. Ensure that your vehicle is suitable for unpaved roads, and be cautious of potential obstacles.

Public Transport

To reach Popii Rarăului via public transport, take a bus from Suceava to Câmpulung Moldovenesc. Buses run regularly from the Suceava Bus Station. The journey takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Câmpulung Moldovenesc, you can either take a local taxi or look for a shared ride to Cabana Rarău. The taxi ride should take approximately 20 minutes and will cost around 30-50 RON. Confirm the fare with the driver before departing.

Hiking

For the adventurous, consider hiking to Popii Rarăului from Cabana Rarău. The hiking trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The hike is about 2 km and takes approximately 30-45 minutes. Ensure you wear appropriate hiking shoes and bring sufficient water.
