If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest town, which is Horezu. From Horezu, take DN67 towards Baia de Fier. After approximately 10 km, you will see signs for Buila-Vanturarita National Park. Follow the signs and turn onto DJ665, which leads you deeper into the park. After about 12 km on DJ665, you will arrive at the Poarta de Piatră. There is a small parking area available for visitors.

To reach Poarta de Piatră using public transportation, first take a bus from Râmnicu Vâlcea to Horezu. Buses run frequently, and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once in Horezu, you can catch a local taxi or arrange for a ride to Buila-Vanturarita National Park. The taxi ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes and should cost around 50-70 RON. Ensure to confirm the fare before starting your journey.
