If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Gorj. Head southeast on DN67 towards Târgu Jiu. After about 10 km, take the exit onto DN66 towards Bumbești-Jiu. Continue on DN66 for approximately 30 km. You will see signs for Cascada Murga as you approach Bumbești-Jiu. Look for parking areas along the roadside. The waterfall is a short hike from the parking area.

To reach Cascada Murga by public transportation, take a bus from Târgu Jiu to Bumbești-Jiu. Buses run regularly from Târgu Jiu to Bumbești-Jiu, and the journey takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive in Bumbești-Jiu, you can either walk (approximately 2 km) or take a taxi to the waterfall. If walking, head east on DN66 and follow the signs for Cascada Murga. Note that taxi fares may vary, so confirm the price before getting in.
