From the center of Petrila, take the DJ 663 road towards the Parang Mountains. Follow this road for approximately 15 km until you reach the intersection with DJ 665. Turn left onto DJ 665 and continue for about 10 km. You will pass by the Parang Mountain Resort. As you approach the mountains, look for signs indicating the trailhead for Lacul Zanoaga. Parking is available at the trailhead, but it may require a small fee (around 5 RON).

Public Transportation
From the main bus station in Petrila, take a bus heading towards the Parang Mountains. Buses generally run every hour. Inform the driver you want to get off at the stop for Parang Mountain Resort. The fare is typically around 10 RON. Once you arrive at the Parang Mountain Resort, you will need to walk approximately 3 km to the trailhead for Lacul Zanoaga. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to ensure you stay on the correct path.

Once you reach the trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 4 km to reach Lacul Zanoaga. The trail is well marked and takes you through beautiful alpine scenery.
