Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Hilița. From the nearest major city, Iași, take the E583 road heading south. After approximately 30 kilometers, turn onto DJ248 road towards Hilița. Follow the signs for Hilița, and you will arrive at the Moldavian Plateau, located just outside the town. Parking may be available near local attractions.
Public Transportation
To reach the Moldavian Plateau from the town of Iași using public transportation, take a bus from the Central Bus Station (Autogara Iași) to Hilița. Buses depart frequently, and the journey takes about 45 minutes. Upon arriving in Hilița, you can walk or take a taxi to the Moldavian Plateau, which is approximately 5 kilometers from the bus station. Expect to pay around 10 RON for the bus ticket.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route or are traveling with a group, consider taking a taxi from Iași to the Moldavian Plateau. This option is more expensive, costing around 100-150 RON, but provides door-to-door service. Ensure to agree on the fare with the driver before starting your trip.
Bicycle
For the adventurous, cycling from Iași to Hilița is an option. The journey is approximately 30 kilometers and can be tackled in about 2-3 hours, depending on your cycling speed. There are bike rental shops in Iași, and the route mostly follows the E583 road. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you have proper gear and water.
