If you are traveling by car, head towards Pitești. From Bucharest, take the A1 highway towards Pitești. After approximately 120 km, take the Pitești exit. Once in Pitești, follow the signs to the city center. Navigate to Strada Negru-Vodă; the Pitesti Prison Memorial is located at number 30. There is parking available nearby but be mindful of local parking regulations.
Train
For those using public transportation, take a train from Bucharest to Pitești. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Trains depart from Bucharest North Station (Gara de Nord) frequently. Once you arrive at Pitești train station, exit the station and take a taxi or public bus to Strada Negru-Vodă. The taxi ride will take around 10 minutes, while the bus may take slightly longer depending on traffic.
Bus
You can also take a bus from Bucharest to Pitești. Buses leave from various locations in Bucharest, including Autogara Filaret and Autogara Militari. The journey lasts about 2 hours. Upon arriving at the Pitești bus station, you can either walk (approximately 20 minutes) to the Pitesti Prison Memorial or take a taxi for a quicker option.

If you opt to walk from the Pitești train or bus station, head northwest on Bdul Republicii until you reach the intersection with Strada Negru-Vodă. Turn right onto Strada Negru-Vodă, and continue walking until you reach number 30. This walk will take approximately 25 minutes.
