Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Bucharest, the capital of Romania. Take the A1 highway toward Pitești. After approximately 90 kilometers, take the exit toward DN73A. Continue on DN73A for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Campulung. From Campulung, follow the signs to DN73 toward Râmnicu Vâlcea. After about 20 kilometers, turn onto DJ735 toward Zosin Monastery. The monastery will be located approximately 5 kilometers down this road. There is no entrance fee for visiting the monastery.
Public Transportation
To reach Zosin Monastery via public transportation, start your journey in Bucharest. Take a train from Bucharest North Railway Station to Campulung. The train journey takes approximately 2-3 hours. Upon arrival in Campulung, you will need to take a local taxi or a bus to reach the monastery. Taxis are available outside the train station, and the fare should be around 30-50 RON, depending on the distance. Ensure that you inform the driver of your destination, Zosin Monastery, which is approximately a 15-minute drive from Campulung.
Combination of Public Transport and Walking
From Bucharest, take a train to Campulung as mentioned above. Once in Campulung, you can opt for a bus that travels towards the Zosin area. Check local schedules for bus routes; they might vary. After getting off at the nearest stop, you may need to walk approximately 1-2 kilometers to reach the monastery. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the walk can be slightly hilly.
