Getting There

Walking
Start at the Sighisoara Clock Tower, a major landmark in the center of the town. From the Clock Tower, head down Strada Turnului (Tower Street) towards the southern end of the citadel. Continue straight until you reach the end of the street, where it intersects with Strada Scolii. Turn left onto Strada Scolii and walk until you reach the intersection with Strada Cetății. Turn right onto Strada Cetății, and after a short walk, you will arrive at the Rupea Citadel, which is located on a hill and is visible from a distance.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the Sighisoara Train Station, take a local bus heading towards Rupea. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times, as buses may not run frequently. The journey should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Rupea bus station, exit the bus and walk towards Strada Cetății, which is a short distance from the station. Follow Strada Cetății uphill until you reach the entrance of the Rupea Citadel.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Sighisoara. Head out of the city along the main road towards Rupea. The route is approximately 18 km and can take about an hour. As you approach Rupea, look for signage directing you to Strada Cetății. Follow the signs uphill to reach the citadel.
