If you are driving along the Transfagarasan Highway, you will want to head towards the Vidraru Dam. The Prometheus Statue is located near this area. From the north, take DN1 to the town of Curtea de Arges, then take DN7C, the Transfagarasan Highway, heading towards Sibiu. Continue on this road for about 40 km until you reach the Vidraru Dam. The statue is situated a short distance from the dam, and you will find parking available nearby.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Bucharest to Curtea de Arges. There are several companies that operate this route, and the journey takes about 2-3 hours. Once you arrive in Curtea de Arges, you will need to catch a local bus or taxi to the Vidraru Dam. The local buses are infrequent, so a taxi might be a more reliable option. Upon reaching the Dam, the Prometheus Statue is a short walk away. Be prepared for the possibility of taxi fares costing around 50-100 RON depending on your negotiation and the distance.
