    To reach Gishwati-Mukura National Park from Akagera National Park by car, start by exiting Akagera National Park through the main gate. Head west on the road towards Kayonza. Continue for about 65 kilometers until you reach the town of Kayonza. From Kayonza, take the road heading south towards Byumba. After approximately 30 kilometers, look for signs to Gishwati-Mukura National Park. Follow the signs, and you should arrive at the park entrance. Ensure you have cash for any park entrance fees, which may vary.

    If you are traveling by public transport, you will first need to get to Kayonza from Akagera National Park. You can take a motorcycle taxi (moto) or a shared taxi to reach the nearest bus station in Kayonza. From Kayonza, look for a bus heading towards Byumba.
