    Car

    From Kigali, take the road towards Huye (Butare) on the RN1. Continue on this road until you reach the town of Cyangugu. From Cyangugu, follow signs to Nyungwe Forest National Park. The journey by car takes approximately 5-6 hours. Be prepared for some steep and winding roads, so drive carefully.

    Public Transportation

    From Kigali, you can take a bus or a shared taxi (minibus) to Cyangugu. These depart from Nyabugogo Bus Park in Kigali. Once in Cyangugu, you can hire a taxi to take you to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Alternatively, you can take a motorcycle taxi (known as a moto) or a local bus to reach the park entrance. The journey by public transportation may take longer than by car, but it is a more budget-friendly option.
