If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the Nyungwe Forest National Park visitor center, located near the park entrance. Head south on the main road (Route Nationale 6) for approximately 10 kilometers. Keep an eye out for the signs indicating the Kamiranzovu Hiking Trail, which will direct you towards G565+8XJ, Colline Ibanda. After turning off the main road, follow the dirt path for about 5 kilometers until you reach the trailhead parking area. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition, as some parts of the road may be rough.

For those using public transportation, you can take a bus or shared taxi from the nearby town of Butare or Nyanza heading to Nyungwe Forest. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Nyungwe Forest visitor center. From there, you may need to hire a local taxi or motorcycle taxi (known as 'moto') to reach the Kamiranzovu Hiking Trail. The moto ride will take about 30 minutes and cost around 5,000 Rwandan Francs. Ensure you agree on the fare before starting your journey.
