Walking
From the center of Butare, start at the National Museum of Rwanda. Head southeast on Avenue de la Révolution towards Avenue du 1er Novembre. Turn left onto Avenue du 1er Novembre and walk straight for about 1 kilometer. Keep an eye out for a sign for 'Murambi Genocide Memorial Centre' as you approach the intersection with Unnamed Road. Turn onto Unnamed Road and continue for about 2 kilometers. The memorial center will be on your right-hand side. Look for the entrance marked clearly.

If you have access to a bicycle, leave from the National Museum of Rwanda and head southeast on Avenue de la Révolution. Turn left onto Avenue du 1er Novembre and cycle for approximately 1 kilometer.
