Walking
Start at the central bus station in Butare. Exit the station and head north on Avenue de la Réunification. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenue du 1er Novembre. Turn right onto Avenue du 1er Novembre and walk for approximately 300 meters. You will see the entrance to the Museum of Environment on your left, just before you reach the main road towards Kibuye.

Bicycle
From the center of Butare, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Head north on Avenue de la Réunification for about 1 km. At the intersection with Avenue du 1er Novembre, turn right. Continue cycling for another 300 meters until you reach the Museum of Environment on the left side of the road. Make sure to park your bicycle at the designated area near the entrance.
