Getting There

Walking
Start at the Butare Town Center (near the National Museum). From the center, head east towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Walk straight until you reach the junction with Avenue du Commerce. Turn left and continue until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rue des Professeurs and follow it till you reach the next intersection. Here, turn right onto Avenue de la Paix. Continue walking until you see signs pointing to Ndabikunze Heritage. It will be on your left, just before you reach KK 18 Avenue.

From Butare Town Center, rent a bicycle and head east towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Ride straight until you arrive at the junction with Avenue du Commerce. Turn left and cycle along this road until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Rue des Professeurs. Continue cycling until the next intersection, then turn right onto Avenue de la Paix. Keep cycling until you see the sign for Ndabikunze Heritage, which will be on your left just before you reach KK 18 Avenue.
