Car
From Cyangugu, take the main road (Route Nationale 1) heading north. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Nyamasheke. Look for signs directing you to Ibere rya Bigogwe as you approach. Turn onto the local roads that lead into the woods, following the signs. The final stretch may require some off-road driving, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain.
Public Transportation
From Cyangugu, take a 'moto' (motorcycle taxi) or a shared taxi-brousse heading towards Nyamasheke. Inform the driver that you want to stop at Ibere rya Bigogwe. The ride will take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Nyamasheke, you may need to arrange for a local motorcycle taxi to take you the remaining distance to Ibere rya Bigogwe, which may cost around 1,000-2,000 Rwandan Francs.
