Car
If you are driving from Cyangugu town, head southwest on the main road (RN1) towards Bukavu. After about 10 kilometers, look for a sign for 'Colline Ruvumbu' which will lead you off the main road. Turn right onto this road and continue for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the designated area for the Karamba Hiking Trail, located at G4C6+9H7. There is no specific parking area, so park your car safely along the road.
Public Transportation (Bus)
From the main bus station in Cyangugu, board a bus heading towards Bukavu. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Colline Ruvumbu. The fare is usually around 500 Rwandan Francs. After approximately 20 minutes, disembark at the Colline Ruvumbu stop. From there, you might need to walk about 1 kilometer to reach the Karamba Hiking Trail. Look for local signs or ask residents for directions to G4C6+9H7.
Motorbike Taxi (Moto)
For a more direct route, you can hire a motorbike taxi. Negotiate a fare (typically around 2000-3000 Rwandan Francs) with the driver for a ride from Cyangugu to Karamba Hiking Trail.
