Car
From the center of Cyangugu, head east on Avenue de la République towards Avenue du Lac. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route Nationale 3. Take a left onto Route Nationale 3 and continue for about 12 kilometers. Look for signs indicating Kirehe and Nzega Hill. Once you arrive in Kirehe, navigate to the coordinates GH95+VRJ. The road may have some unpaved sections, so drive cautiously.
Public Transportation
Start at the main bus station in Cyangugu. Look for a bus heading towards Kirehe. The fare is approximately RWF 1,500. The journey may take around 30-45 minutes depending on the number of stops. Once you arrive in Kirehe, ask the locals for directions to Nzega Hill, which is located at GH95+VRJ. You may need to walk a short distance or hire a motorcycle taxi (known as 'moto') to reach the hill.
Motorcycle Taxi (Moto)
If you prefer a quicker option after arriving in Kirehe, you can hire a motorcycle taxi to Nzega Hill. Negotiate the fare before starting the journey; it should cost around RWF 1,000 to RWF 2,000 depending on your starting point in Kirehe. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes.
