Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the center of Karongi, near the local market. Head southeast on Avenue de la Réunification for about 500 meters until you reach the main road (Nyanza Rd). Once you reach Nyanza Rd, turn left and walk for approximately 1 km. You will see the King's Palace Museum on your right side, just before you reach the main junction.

    From the Karongi town center, rent a bicycle and head southeast on Avenue de la Réunification. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach Nyanza Rd. Turn left onto Nyanza Rd and cycle for approximately 1 km. The King's Palace Museum will be on your right side, just before the main junction.

    Find a motorbike taxi (commonly known as 'moto') in the town center of Karongi. Inform the driver that you want to go to the King's Palace Museum.
