From the center of Karongi, start at the main market area. Head south on Avenue de la Paix towards the lake. Continue walking straight until you reach the junction with the main road (Route Nationale 1). Turn left onto Route Nationale 1 and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and cafes along the way. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards Nyamabuye. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see a sign indicating the direction to Nyamabuye. Follow the sign, which will lead you onto a smaller road. Continue for another 500 meters until you arrive at the Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Immaculée-Conception de Kabgayi, located on your right. The cathedral is a prominent structure with distinctive architecture, making it easy to identify.
