Getting There

  • Car Rental

    If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Musanze (formerly known as Ruhengeri). Head south on the RN4 road towards the town of Nyabihu. Continue on RN4 for approximately 25 km until you reach the junction at the entrance of Volcanoes National Park. Turn left onto the road leading towards Volcanoes National Park. Singita Kwitonda Lodge is located approximately 7 km from this junction. Follow the signs to the lodge, and be prepared for a short drive on unpaved roads. Make sure to have a GPS or a reliable map, as signage might not be clear.

  • Public Transportation

    If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Kigali to Musanze. Buses frequently depart from Nyabugogo Bus Terminal in Kigali, and the journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, costing around RWF 1,500 to RWF 2,000.
