From the center of Nyagatare, start at the Nyagatare Market. Head east along Avenue de la Paix for about 1 km until you reach the junction with Route Nationale 4. Turn left onto Route Nationale 4 and continue walking for approximately 2 km. Look for signs that indicate the direction towards Samatare. The entrance to the Samatare Caves is located just off the main road, about 300 meters into the surrounding area.
