Walking
If you are starting from Nyamata Town Center, head southwest on Avenue du 1er Novembre towards Avenue de la Révolution. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Avenue de l’Indépendance. Turn left onto Avenue de l’Indépendance and walk for another 300 meters. You will come across a signpost for Kwigira Museum. Follow the signs for about 1 kilometer, and you will arrive at Kwigira Museum, located at JPJR+679.
Bicycle
Starting from Nyamata Town Center, rent a bicycle from a local shop. Head southwest on Avenue du 1er Novembre and keep riding straight for about 500 meters until you reach the junction with Avenue de la Révolution. Turn left onto Avenue de l’Indépendance and cycle for about 1 kilometer. Look for signposts directing you to Kwigira Museum. The museum will be on your right at JPJR+679.
Public Transport
From Nyamata Town Center, walk to the nearest bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Nyanza. Once you board, inform the driver you want to stop at Kwigira Museum. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive, walk towards JPJR+679, following the local signage for Kwigira Museum.
