Walking
From the center of Rubavu, head towards the main road (A1). Walk along the road for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction leading to Kibuye. Keep an eye out for local signage directing towards Kibuye, which will be on your left. Follow this road as it winds down towards Lake Kivu. Continue along this route, which should take you about 30 minutes on foot.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Rubavu. Start at the main square and head towards the A1 road. Cycle along the main road for approximately 2 kilometers until you find the turnoff for Kibuye on your left. The road is fairly smooth, and cycling will take about 15 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views of Lake Kivu as you make your way there.
Motorbike Taxi
To take a motorbike taxi, find a local moto-taxi stand in Rubavu, usually near the main market. Tell the driver you want to go to Kibuye.
