Getting there

Boat

From the main area of Gisenyi, head towards the Lake Kivu waterfront. You can find local boats (known as 'imihigo') near the beach. Approach the boatmen and ask them to take you to Gitesi, which is the area where Iliza Houseboat is located. Make sure to agree on the price beforehand.
