From the center of Ribeira Afonso, head towards the coast by following the main road that leads east. As you walk, you will pass local shops and cafes. Continue walking until you reach a fork in the road; take the path that veers to the right towards the beach. You will see signs pointing to Praia das Sete Ondas. As you approach the beach area, you will notice the sound of the waves and the scent of the ocean. The beach is located directly ahead, and you will see a beautiful stretch of sand with the famous seven waves crashing against the shore.

If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the main square in Ribeira Afonso. Head east on the main road, keeping the town on your left side. After about 10 minutes of cycling, you will come to a fork in the road. Veer right towards the beach. Continue pedaling straight, and you will eventually see the ocean ahead. Follow the path leading down to the beach, and you will arrive at Praia das Sete Ondas, where you can enjoy the picturesque views.

If you prefer not to walk, you can take a mototaxi from anywhere in Ribeira Afonso. Simply find a mototaxi driver (they are often found near busy areas or markets) and tell them you want to go to Praia das Sete Ondas. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off close to the beach entrance. From there, it’s just a short walk down to the sandy shore.
