Getting There

    Start at Masjid al-Haram. Exit the mosque and head towards the King Fahd Gate. Once outside, take a right and walk towards the Abraj Al Bait Towers. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Al-Masjid Al-Haram Road. Turn left and walk along this road. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see signs directing you to Jabal Al-Nour. Follow the signs which will lead you to the base of the mountain.

    From the base of Jabal Al-Nour, look for the trail that leads up to Hira Cave. The trail starts with a series of steps. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring water as the hike can be strenuous. Follow the path, which is marked and well-trodden, and continue upwards for about 30 minutes until you reach Hira Cave. Be cautious as some parts of the trail can be steep.

    Once you reach Hira Cave, take your time to enjoy the views and the significance of the site. The cave is located at the summit of Jabal Al-Nour. After your visit, you can either retrace your steps back down to the base of the mountain or choose to explore other areas around Jabal Al-Nour before returning to your starting point.
