Getting There

Walking
Start at Masjid al-Haram. Exit the mosque and head towards the King Fahd Gate. Once outside, take a right and walk towards the Abraj Al Bait Towers. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Al-Masjid Al-Haram Road. Turn left and walk along this road. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see signs directing you to Jabal Al-Nour. Follow the signs which will lead you to the base of the mountain.

From the base of Jabal Al-Nour, look for the trail that leads up to Hira Cave. The trail starts with a series of steps. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes and bring water as the hike can be strenuous. Follow the path, which is marked and well-trodden, and continue upwards for about 30 minutes until you reach Hira Cave. Be cautious as some parts of the trail can be steep.
