Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the popular Republic Square (Trg Republike), head east towards the pedestrian zone of Knez Mihailova Street. Walk straight along Knez Mihailova for approximately 1 km until you reach the end of the street. At the end, you will see Kalemegdan Park entrance on your right. Enter the park and walk towards the Belgrade Fortress. Once inside the fortress, follow the signs towards the Inner Stambol Gate, which is located near the northern walls of the fortress. The gate is an impressive historical landmark and can be easily spotted.

    From the main bus station in Belgrade (Banjica), you can take tram line 2 towards 'Dorćol'. Get off at the 'Kalemegdan' stop. From there, head towards the entrance of Kalemegdan Park. Once inside, make your way to the Belgrade Fortress by following the paths leading towards the northern walls, where you will find the Inner Stambol Gate.
