If you are in the city center, start at the Republic Square (Trg Republike). From there, head south towards Knez Mihailova Street, a pedestrian zone filled with shops and cafes. Walk straight down Knez Mihailova until you reach the end of the street, which will lead you to the Kalemegdan Fortress entrance. Upon entering the fortress, follow the paths that lead you up to the main area of the fortress. The Statue of Despot Stefan Lazarević is located within the fortress grounds, near the entrance to the Belgrade Zoo and close to the viewpoint overlooking the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. Look for signs directing you to the statue as you navigate through the fortress.

Public Transport
Begin your journey at the nearest tram stop to your location. If you are near the city center, take tram line 2 or 5 towards the Kalemegdan stop. Get off at the Kalemegdan stop, which is right next to the fortress entrance. From there, follow the walking instructions provided above to reach the Statue of Despot Stefan Lazarević. Be mindful that trams may be crowded during peak hours, so plan your trip accordingly.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental stations around the city. Start at the Republic Square and cycle down Knez Mihailova Street. Continue to ride towards the Kalemegdan Fortress. There are bike racks available within the fortress area where you can securely park your bike. From there, take a short walk to the statue, which is easily accessible from the main paths within the fortress.
