From Chinatown MRT Station (NE4), take Exit A and head towards Pagoda Street. Walk straight along Pagoda Street until you reach the intersection with Smith Street. Turn right onto Smith Street and continue until you reach the junction with New Bridge Road. Cross the road and head towards Clarke Quay. Continue walking straight until you reach the Singapore River. Once you reach the river, turn left and follow the riverside promenade. Keep walking along the promenade until you see the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay on your right, located at 1 Esplanade Dr.

From the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, exit the temple and turn left onto Temple Street. Walk straight until you reach the junction with South Bridge Road. Turn right onto South Bridge Road and continue walking until you reach the junction with New Bridge Road. Cross New Bridge Road towards Clarke Quay and continue walking straight towards the river. Once you arrive at the riverbank, turn left and follow the promenade until you see the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay on your right.
