Bus
From Yishun MRT station, take Bus 851 towards Sembawang MRT. Alight at the last stop, Sembawang MRT. From there, transfer to Bus 169 towards Woodlands. Alight at the bus stop at Woodlands Checkpoint. Finally, walk to the Johor Bahru Immigration Checkpoint and cross to Malaysia. Once in Johor Bahru, you can take a Grab or local taxi to Istana Besar Royal Abu Bakar, which is approximately 10 minutes away.

Start at Yishun MRT station and take the North South Line towards Marina South Pier. Change trains at Jurong East MRT station, then board the East West Line towards Pasir Ris. Alight at Tanah Merah MRT station and transfer to Bus 35. Take Bus 35 and alight at the Johor Bahru Immigration Checkpoint. After crossing into Malaysia, take a local taxi or Grab to Istana Besar Royal Abu Bakar, about a 10-minute ride.
