Getting There

Walking
From the center of Štrbské Pleso, head towards the Štrbské Pleso train station. Exit the station and walk towards the main road (Hlavná ulica). Follow Hlavná ulica until you reach the junction with the road leading to the cable car station. Turn left onto this road. Continue straight for approximately 1.5 km until you reach the marked hiking trail. This trail will lead you directly to Nižné Smrekovické pliesko, which is about 1 km into the forest. The hike will take around 30-40 minutes.

Public Transportation
Take a local bus from Štrbské Pleso to Vysoké Tatry. The bus will drop you off at the nearest stop to the hiking trail leading to Nižné Smrekovické pliesko. From the bus stop, follow the signs towards the hiking trail, which is approximately a 10-minute walk (800 meters) away. The bus fare is approximately €1-€2, depending on the route.

Car
If you are driving, park your car at the designated parking area near the Štrbské Pleso train station. From there, follow the same walking path towards the cable car station. After about 1.5 km on Hlavná ulica, you will find the trailhead leading to Nižné Smrekovické pliesko. Please note that parking may incur a fee ranging from €2 to €5, depending on the duration of your stay.
