Car
If you are traveling by car, start by navigating to the town of Vysoké Tatry. From the main road, take the exit towards Tatranská Lomnica. Continue driving until you reach the parking area at the Tatranská Lomnica cable car station. The parking fee is typically around €5-€10 per day. From the parking area, head to the trailhead located near the cable car station.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a train or bus to the Vysoké Tatry region, specifically to the Tatranská Lomnica stop. From there, walk towards the Tatranská Lomnica cable car station. Once you reach the cable car station, you will need to purchase a ticket for the cable car ride, which costs approximately €15 round trip. After reaching the top station, follow the marked hiking trails leading to Batizovské pleso.
Hiking
Once you are at the top station of the Tatranská Lomnica cable car, begin your hike towards Batizovské pleso. The trail is well-marked and will take you through beautiful alpine scenery. The hike is challenging, with an elevation gain of about 800 meters, and will take approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Be sure to wear proper hiking boots and carry enough water and snacks for the journey.
