Car
If you are driving, start from the town of Poprad, which is the nearest major city. Take the E50 road towards Vysoké Tatry. Once in Vysoké Tatry, follow signs for Tatranská Lomnica and continue to the parking area near the Hrebienok cable car station. There is a paid parking area (approximately €1 per hour). From the parking area, take the Hrebienok cable car to Hrebienok station, which costs around €9 for a round trip. From Hrebienok, follow the marked hiking trail towards Hincovo tarn (Veľké Hincovo pleso). The hike is about 2.5 hours (approximately 5 km) and is a moderate trail, so wear comfortable hiking shoes.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take a train or bus from Poprad to Vysoké Tatry. Buses and trains leave regularly from the Poprad train station. Once in Vysoké Tatry, disembark at the Tatranská Lomnica stop. From there, you can either take a local taxi (approximately €10-€15) to the Hrebienok cable car station or walk (about 30 minutes). At the cable car station, purchase a ticket to Hrebienok (around €9 for a round trip). After arriving at Hrebienok, follow the marked trail towards Hincovo tarn, which takes about 2.5 hours.
Walking
For those already staying in Vysoké Tatry, you can walk to the Hrebienok cable car station. It's about a 20-30 minute walk from the center of Vysoké Tatry. Take the path leading up from the main road, and follow the signs to the cable car station. Once there, purchase your ticket for the cable car (approximately €9 for a round trip). After reaching Hrebienok, proceed on foot along the marked hiking trail towards Hincovo tarn, which will take approximately 2.5 hours.
