Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Poprad, which is the nearest major city. Take Route 537 heading towards Vysoké Tatry. Continue on this road for about 15 kilometers. Follow the signs for Veľké Spišské pleso. The last part of the journey involves turning onto Unnamed Road. Upon arrival, you will find parking available nearby, which may incur a fee of around €5 for the day.
Public Transportation
To reach Veľké Spišské pleso via public transportation, take a train or bus from Poprad to the Vysoké Tatry area. If you take the train, board a train heading towards Štrbské Pleso. Upon arriving at Štrbské Pleso station, transfer to a local bus towards Tatranská Lomnica. Disembark at the stop 'Veľké Spišské pleso.' The bus fare is approximately €2. Be sure to check the local timetable for bus schedules, as they may vary.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity and prefer to walk, there are several hiking trails leading to Veľké Spišské pleso. For example, from the Tatranská Lomnica area, you can take the marked hiking trails. The hike is about 4 kilometers and takes approximately 1 hour.
