Car
If you are driving from the High Tatras region, take the E50 road towards Poprad. Continue on E50 until you reach the junction for the D1 highway. Merge onto the D1 heading towards Prešov. After approximately 20 km, take the exit for the 1st class road 66 towards Stratená. Follow road 66 for about 30 km until you reach Stratená. Look for signage directing you to Slovak Paradise National Park. There is a parking area near the entrance, which may incur a small fee (around €5 per day).
Public Transportation
To reach Slovak Paradise via public transport, start by taking a train from Poprad to the town of Dobšiná. Trains run regularly and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Dobšiná, you can catch a local bus to Stratená. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Make sure to check the local bus schedule in advance as services may be limited, especially on weekends. The bus fare is around €1.50.
Hiking
If you are already in the vicinity and prefer to hike, you can start from the village of Stratená. Follow the marked trails towards the entrance of Slovak Paradise National Park. The trails will lead you through stunning landscapes and can take anywhere from 1 to 3 hours depending on your pace and the specific trail you choose. Ensure you have proper hiking gear and water, as there are no facilities on the trails.
