Getting There

Walking

Start from the center of Žilina, at the Mariánske námestie square. Head southwest towards the Špitálska street. Continue straight onto the Karpaty street. After about 1 kilometer, you'll reach the intersection with the Hliník street. Turn left onto the Hliník street and follow it until you reach the Veľký diel area. The Žilina forest park is located at Veľký diel 1790/28. Keep an eye on the signs for the park as you approach.
Public Transport

From the main train station in Žilina, take bus number 13 towards 'Veľký Diel'. The bus ride takes approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Veľký Diel' stop. After exiting the bus, walk a short distance to Veľký diel 1790/28, following the signs directing you to the forest park.
Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in the city center. Start from Mariánske námestie and head towards the Špitálska street, then continue on Karpaty street. Follow the same route as for walking, but on a bike it will be much quicker. Make sure to stay on the bike paths where available. The park will be on your right as you approach Veľký diel 1790/28.
