Getting There
Walking
From the center of Bled, start at the Bled Castle entrance. Head northeast towards the main road (Cesta svobode). Cross the road and follow the path that leads to the lake shore. Continue walking along the shore of Lake Bled until you reach the boat station. Here, you can take a traditional 'pletna' boat to Bled Island. After enjoying the island, return to the boat station and walk back along the shore to the point where you began. From here, head towards the direction of the Bled Castle again, but take the path uphill towards Velika Osojnica, which is signposted. The trail will take you through a forested area, and after about 30-40 minutes of walking uphill, you will reach Velika Osojnica, where you can enjoy stunning views of Lake Bled and the surrounding mountains.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in Bled. Start from the main promenade along Lake Bled and head towards the northwest side of the lake. Follow the cycling paths that lead up towards Velika Osojnica. The trails are well-marked, and you will encounter beautiful scenery along the way. Expect a moderate climb which should take about 20-30 minutes. Once you arrive at Velika Osojnica, park your bicycle in the designated area and take in the breathtaking views.
