Getting there

Walking

Start from the center of Izola, near the waterfront. Head east along the promenade until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the main road towards Koper. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a bus stop. You will see a bus marked 'Ajdovščina' or 'Vipavski Križ'. Take this bus, and it will take you directly to Vipavski Križ. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Vipavski Križ bus station, you can explore the area on foot.

Bicycle

From the center of Izola, rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Head east along the coast bike path. Follow the signs for Koper, which will lead you onto the main road. Continue biking for about 6 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Once you reach the outskirts of Ajdovščina, follow the signs for Vipavski Križ. It's about a 15-minute ride from Ajdovščina to Vipavski Križ. Lock your bike at the designated bike rack upon arrival.

Public Transport

From Izola, walk to the main bus station located near the center. Look for buses heading towards Ajdovščina or Vipavski Križ. The bus ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule for departure times. Once you arrive at Vipavski Križ, disembark at the main bus stop, and you will find yourself just a short walk away from the main attractions in the area.
